PATNA-----------------------The LJP (Ram Vilas) state parliamentary board met on Tuesday to select candidates for the Bihar assembly elections. Led by parliamentary board chairman Hulas Pandey and the party's Bihar state president Raju Tiwari, the board members discussed the selection of candidates for key seats.

Candidate names were discussed with party veterans based on their performance in the previous Lok Sabha and assembly elections. LJP-R parliamentary board chairman Hulas Pandey said on Tuesday that a meeting was held to select candidates for key seats for the party. A panel of candidates will be prepared and sent to the central parliamentary board, which will make the final decision on the selection of candidates.

Meanwhile, sources indicate that deliberations are underway within the NDA regarding seat-sharing before the Bihar elections. Chirag Paswan's LJP-R is not willing to accept less than 30 seats. He has held rallies in several places, including Ara, Chapra, Gaya, and Purnia.

LJP-R MP and Bihar in-charge Arun Bharti, two days ago, stated his party's 100% strike rate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, stating his seat demands. Chirag Paswan also stated in an interview that losing one or two seats is fine, but he is focused on winning assembly constituencies. This means maintaining a good strike rate in the assembly elections as well.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan, speaking to the media on Monday, stated that respect will not be compromised in seat sharing. He also claimed that the NDA's seat-sharing formula was finalized during Navratri.
