PATNA--------------------------Indian Railways is about to give Bihar another big gift, making travel from Patna to Delhi even easier. Yes, the Vande Bharat Express sleeper train, which is extremely modern, will soon be launched on this route, possibly this month itself.

Currently, two rakes of the Vande Bharat Express sleeper train are being manufactured at the BEML factory in Bengaluru. One of them has been completed, and the other is in the final stages of finishing. The first rake will depart from Bengaluru on December 12th, after which a trial run will be conducted on the Delhi-Patna route.

The Patna-Delhi Vande Bharat Express sleeper train will operate six days a week. It is being reported that this train will depart for Delhi around the same time as the Tejas Express and will arrive in New Delhi the following morning. This train will have a total of 16 coaches, with a total of 827 berths. These include 11 coaches of Third AC, four coaches of Second AC, and one coach of First AC. This train will depart from Rajendra Nagar.

The 11 Third AC coaches will have 611 berths, the 4 AC-2 coaches will have 188 berths, and the single First AC coach will have 24 berths. According to officials of the Danapur Railway Division, preparations are underway to start the operation of the Vande Bharat sleeper train by the end of this month. Importantly, this train will also feature the latest safety technologies such as the KAVACH system and a crash-proof structure. Furthermore, the number of coaches can be increased from 16 to 24 if passenger demand increases.
