The nomination of independent candidate and student leader Khushboo Pathak from the Barhara assembly seat in Bhojpur district has been cancelled. Following the cancellation, Khushboo Pathak released a video and leveled serious allegations against BJP leaders. She stated that this was a complete conspiracy by the BJP and that this was done at the behest of the current MLA.

Khushboo Pathak stated in her video that this was all a BJP ploy. "My nomination has been cancelled as part of a conspiracy by BJP leaders. The truth is that the BJP wanted to remove me from the electoral fray." She further stated that she does not engage in caste politics, but she has not forgotten a statement made by the BJP.

She stated that the current MLA once made the "Mudi Katwa" statement, insulting the Pandit community. I myself am the daughter of a Pandit, and now I will show them how politics is done. Khushboo Pathak said that she will never allow the voice of the people to be suppressed, and that the people of Barhara now understand everything. She appealed to her supporters to stand with her in the fight for truth and justice.
