Meanwhile, another young man was swept away by the strong currents on Thursday morning. This young man, identified as Ganesh Kanu, is a resident of Ward 1 of the Shahpur Nagar Panchayat. He had gone to the river bank to look at the water when his slippers suddenly began to float away. While trying to catch the slippers, he was swept away by the strong current and was swept away by the current.

During this incident, people present at the scene raised an alarm, gathering nearby. Dharmendra Yadav, an army soldier from Rudranagar village, who was present there, immediately jumped into the river to rescue him. Two other young men from the same village also jumped into the river to help. Together, the three rescued the drowning young man, safely carrying him to shore, saving his life. The rising waters of the Cher River near the Mission Church on the Shahpur-Banahi road in Bhojpur district have completely disrupted traffic. The road closure has also cut off Shahpur's connection to the nearest railway station, Banahi, causing further difficulties for travelers. The road is now filled with water up to three to four feet deep. The administration has appealed to the public to exercise caution and seek immediate assistance in case of any emergency.
