ARA----------------------------A young man who had gone to bathe in the pond near the Santoshi Mata Temple on Kayamnagar Road on Thursday afternoon drowned. The incident caused an uproar in the deceased's village and home.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul Paswan, 23, son of Kundan Kumar Paswan, a resident of Matiara Chakia village in the Gidha police station area. Rahul supported his family by working as a laborer.
Family members reported that Rahul had gone to Ara on Wednesday morning to work. While returning Thursday afternoon, he went to bathe in a pond near the Santoshi Mata Temple. He drowned in the deep water and died.
Upon receiving information, Gidha police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to Sadar Hospital, Ara for a post-mortem examination.
Rahul was married about five years ago in Shukulpura village. His family includes his wife, Rita Devi, a three-year-old son, Manohar, and a two-year-old daughter, Manorama Kumari. Mother Taramani Devi and wife Rita Devi are inconsolable after this sudden tragedy. Their young children have lost their father forever.
