ARA-------------------------The team of Vigilance Investigation Bureau Patna on Wednesday arrested Shahpur Block Education Officer of Bhojpur district red handed while taking a bribe of one lakh rupees. This bribe amount was being collected in lieu of help in a case. During this, mediator Mohammad Qadir was also arrested.

The team of Vigilance Investigation Bureau took the corrupt BEO with them to Patna for questioning. This action of Vigilance has created panic among corrupt officers and employees. Vigilance Investigation Bureau has taken action in Bhojpur for the second time within the last 10 days.

According to the information, the corrupt Block Education Officer is Mohammad Ghulam Sarwar. Here, DSP Aditya Kumar of Vigilance Investigation Bureau Patna said that a written application was received from Santosh Kumar Pathak, a teacher resident of Buxar, in which it was said that a bribe of one lakh rupees is being demanded for the payment of outstanding salary. After verification, the matter was found to be true. For which, Vigilance Police Station Case No. 67/25 was registered.

After this, the team raided and caught the Block Education Officer red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. Along with him, there was also a person named Mo. Qadir, who was working as a mediator. He has also been arrested. He told that teacher Santosh Kumar Pathak is working in the primary school located in Banshipur village of Shahpur block. His salary of two years was pending for eight lakh fifty four thousand rupees. A bribe of one lakh rupees was demanded by the Block Education Officer for the payment of the same amount.

On 20 August 25, Manish Kumar, Housing Assistant of Chakia Panchayat of Bhojpur district, was caught red-handed by the team of Vigilance Investigation Bureau while taking a bribe of 5 thousand rupees on Wednesday. Beneficiary Ramji Singh, a resident of Fatehpur, had complained that the Housing Assistant was demanding a bribe from him for the payment of the third installment.

After confirmation of the complaint, a trap was laid under the leadership of DSP Gautam Krishna of the Vigilance Investigation Bureau team. As per the predetermined strategy, as soon as the beneficiary handed over the amount of Rs. 5000 to Manish Kumar, the surveillance team arrested him on the spot. The surveillance investigation bureau team involved in the action included Mohammad Nizamuddin, ASI Ravi Shankar, constable Pankaj Kumar and Shambhu Rai.
