The Udvantnagar team from Bhojpur district delivered a stellar performance, defeating Patna by 30 runs to clinch the trophy for the second consecutive time. This victory is not only a testament to the Udvantnagar team's sporting talent but also a significant part of Padma Shri Dr. Bhim Singh Bhavesh's continuous efforts to empower and integrate the underprivileged sections of society, especially the youth of the Musahar community, into the mainstream.

ARA---------------------------The four-day Mata Shabari Cricket Tournament concluded grandly with the final match at the historic Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium in Ara, the headquarters of Bhojpur district in Bihar. The Udvantnagar team from Bhojpur district delivered a stellar performance, defeating Patna by 30 runs to clinch the trophy for the second consecutive time. This victory is not only a testament to the Udvantnagar team's sporting talent but also a significant part of Padma Shri Dr. Bhim Singh Bhavesh's continuous efforts to empower and integrate the underprivileged sections of society, especially the youth of the Musahar community, into the mainstream.
The final match was thrilling and competitive, with both teams showcasing their best abilities. The Udvantnagar team excelled in every aspect of the game, securing a decisive victory. Their second consecutive win reaffirmed their dominance in the tournament and highlighted the players' tireless efforts, determination, and excellent teamwork.
Dr. Rana Singh, Director of Chandragupta Institute of Management, was present as the chief guest for the final match. In his address, he heartily appreciated the inspiring work being done by Padma Shri Dr. Bhim Singh Bhavesh for society. Dr. Singh specifically mentioned that Dr. Bhavesh has been consistently organizing such inspiring events for the past four years, reflecting a positive change in society. He also highlighted his institute's educational initiatives, which provide up to 90 percent scholarships to women and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) students. Dr. Singh appealed to the meritorious children of the Musahar community to understand the importance of education and to utilize the numerous beneficial schemes run by the government to secure a bright future.
Trainee IAS officer Adil Mohsin, who was also present on the occasion, shared his views. He said that such sporting events play a crucial role in inspiring women and girls towards a better future. He highly praised Dr. Bhavesh's efforts, stating that this initiative is leading this community towards change and development. Mohsin extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for the successful event.
Divisional Forest Officer Pradyumna Gaurav, in his address, said that Dr. Bhavesh has been providing a voice, a proper platform, and opportunities to the underprivileged community for a long time. Speaking as a civil servant, he acknowledged that much work still needs to be done for this community, especially in bringing them up to par with basic human rights.
Sunil Kumar, former Managing Director of Bihar Bridge Construction Corporation, expressed his happiness at being associated with this social campaign. He said, “I have been associated with Nai Asha (New Hope) for quite some time. It is heartening to see that the underprivileged community is progressing through this campaign.” Renowned social worker Suryabhan Singh also praised the initiative and expressed confidence that this campaign to empower the Musahar community through sports will definitely yield positive results soon and establish a new identity for the community.
The award distribution ceremony was presided over gracefully by Prof. Satyanarayan Singh, while the welcome address was given by Dr. Bhim Singh Bhavesh, who greeted all the guests and participants. The program was skillfully conducted by Amarendra Kumar, who ensured the smooth running of the entire ceremony.
Finally, Dr. Archana Singh extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, players, and spectators present. This four-day Mata Shabari Cricket Tournament was more than just a sporting event; it was a vibrant symbol of social harmony, empowerment, and the visionary efforts of Padma Shri Dr. Bhim Singh Bhavesh to provide opportunities to the underprivileged community and bring them into the mainstream. Teams from Bhojpur, as well as Patna and Buxar, participated enthusiastically in this tournament. In addition to cricket, a tug-of-war competition was also organized for young women of the Musahar community.
