TRAINING CUM WORKSHOP ORGANIZED ON “ORGANIC NATURAL FARMING”

ARA-------------------------A training-cum-workshop on the subject of "Organic Natural Farming" was organized at the Krishi Bhawan Auditorium, Bhojpur, under the aegis of the National Mission for Clean Ganga under Arth Ganga.

The training-cum-workshop was jointly inaugurated by the District Agriculture Officer and the District Project Officer, District Ganga Committee, Namami Gange, Bhojpur, Amit Kumar. On this occasion, the District Agriculture Officer provided information on the importance and objectives of natural organic farming.  District Project Manager, Namami Gange, Amit Kumar, discussed in detail the adverse effects of using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc., on agro-ecology.  The District Horticulture Officer, Assistant Director of Crop Production, Bhojpur, Assistant Director of Chemistry, Deputy Project Director, ATMA Bhojpur, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Ara Sadar, and Assistant Industries Extension Officer, Bhojpur, participated in the program and expressed their views to encourage the farmers.

The Assistant Director of Chemistry provided detailed information about the "Natural Farming" scheme being implemented in Bhojpur district. Dr. Sachchidanand Singh and Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhojpur, were present as technical resource persons. Dr. Sachchidanand Singh shared information with the farmers present on the importance of consuming organic natural products, the need for organic farming, and the activities to be undertaken before starting organic farming.

Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, a scientist from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhojpur, provided information on the production and application methods of inputs used in organic natural farming, such as cow dung manure, compost, organic fertilizers, vermicompost, vermiwash, Jeevamrut, Beejamrut, etc.
