BHABHUA---------------------------In connection with the murder of Halim Ali (28), which took place on Tuesday right under the nose of the Mohania police station, the police have arrested three of the 20 named accused: Rinku Pasi, Vijaymal Nonia, and Pawan Sut Pasi. Following the incident, there was tension in the town and widespread anger among the people. SDPO Pradeep Kumar confirmed that the arrested accused are being interrogated rigorously, and raids are being conducted continuously at the hideouts of the remaining 17 absconding accused based on the information they have provided. According to the information received, Halim Ali, son of Khurshid Gaddi, a resident of Ward Number-9, was going to pick up his niece from school on his motorcycle around 3 pm on Tuesday when he was surrounded by miscreants lying in wait just 100 meters from the police station. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers brutally assaulted Halim with sticks, bricks, and stones. Blinded by old enmity, the attackers beat him until he breathed his last. As soon as the news of the murder spread, the anger of the family members and local people erupted. On Tuesday evening, an angry mob completely blocked the GT Road (NH-19) near Sharda Brajraj High School. Amidst arson and slogans, people were demanding the immediate arrest of the murderers from the police administration. The blockade was lifted only after assurances from the police. SDPO Pradeep Kumar said that the initial investigation clearly indicates that the murder was due to an old enmity. He said, "This is a heinous crime. We have arrested three people, but the operation is not over yet. Special police teams have been formed which are conducting raids day and night. No culprit will be spared." Currently, there is an atmosphere of mourning at the deceased's home. Father Khurshid Gaddi has appealed to the police, stating that his son's soul will not find peace until all the accused are behind bars. The police are now preparing to file a charge sheet based on the post-mortem report and the statements of the arrested accused.
