Giving relief to the common man, the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a subsidy of more than ₹ 12,000 crore for 2025-26 under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. With this decision, now the stove of the house of the poor will continue to burn with a 'flame' of ₹ 300. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that more than 10 crore families will continue to get benefits under this scheme, and they will get a subsidy of ₹ 300 for up to 9 cylinders in a year.

Apart from this, the government has also given compensation of ₹ 30,000 crore to oil companies like IOCL, BPCL and HPCL to cover the loss of LPG. This step shows that the government is committed to providing relief to the common people even in this era of inflation.
