PATNA--------------------------The death of 36-year-old Shrishti Sinha under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Buddha Colony has now taken a new turn. While on one hand the deceased's maternal side has made serious allegations against her husband Dr. Abhijit Sinha, now Dr. Sinha's close associates and relatives have termed it a suicide and called all the allegations a well-planned conspiracy.
Dr. Sinha's family members say that Shrishti Sinha was suffering from mental stress and depression for the last few months. A family friend said on the condition of anonymity, "Srishti ji's behavior had become quite abnormal in recent times. She was often stressed even with the children. Dr. Abhijit had advised her to seek medical advice."
At the same time, Shrishti's maternal side has made serious allegations like extramarital affair and mental harassment against Dr. Sinha. Dr. Sinha's supporters have described these allegations as completely baseless and factless. According to a hospital worker, "Dr. Abhijeet is a dedicated surgeon and a family man. It is unfair to question his character unless there is any concrete evidence." After the death, Dr. Sinha left the city with his three children, which is being questioned by the deceased's maternal family. However, Dr. Sinha's side says that this step was taken keeping in mind the mental state of the children. A relative said, "The children are in shock due to their mother's death. In such a situation, it was necessary to provide them a calm and safe environment." Questions have also been raised on the delay in informing the police about the incident and sending the body for post-mortem themselves. Dr. Sinha's side says that the family was shocked and frightened at the time of the incident. Family sources said, "We decided to take the body to the hospital in the hope of getting immediate medical help." Dr. Abhijeet Sinha's lawyer claimed that Dr. Sinha and his family members were beaten up by the deceased's in-laws at PMCH, due to which they could not attend the funeral. He said, "There is no concealment from our side, but we are not being given the opportunity to present our side in the judicial process." The advocate also alleged that the investigation is being affected due to media trial and one-sided reporting. He has demanded from the police and administration that the investigation of this case should be done impartially, sensitively and on the basis of evidence. The police is also unnecessarily harassing Dr. Abhijit's friends and relatives, and pressure is also being exerted on them. Dr. Abhijit Sinha and people associated with his family say that one-sided perception should not be made due to emotional excitement and social pressure and the entire case should be tested on the basis of facts. The police is now investigating this complex case, and everyone's eyes are fixed on what the truth is.
