ARA--------------------------Following the instructions of District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the drive to remove encroachments from roads in Shahpur has been intensified. In this connection, the local administration conducted a survey of the Shahpur-Banahi road. Under the leadership of Circle Officer Anand Prakash, this road measurement process was carried out by the circle surveyor with utmost care and transparency. During this measurement process, the concerned officers and staff of the Nagar Panchayat were also present at the site, who duly recorded the accurate measurements of the road and every important detail related to the encroachments. The anti-encroachment drive will be effectively implemented based on these records.

After the administration's measurement of the roads, panic has spread among those who have encroached on the roadside. There is widespread discussion in the area that this time the Banahi Road will be freed from encroachments, and this measurement is being done for this purpose. Naturally, an atmosphere of unease has been created among the people who have illegally occupied the roadside. The effect of this campaign is also becoming visible, with shopkeepers being seen voluntarily removing their shops.

It is noteworthy that the anti-encroachment drive in Shahpur is being conducted in a phased manner. Earlier, Shahpur Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer Nishat Alam had conducted extensive public awareness campaigns through announcements regarding the removal of encroachments along the roads. Following these prior notices, last Thursday, the Ara-Buxar main road, National Highway 84, was successfully freed from encroachments, which has significantly eased the flow of traffic on this important road (the lifeline of the town). Currently, the administration is also intensively preparing to remove encroachments from the Shahpur-Karnamepur road.
