SENIOR RJD LEADER ARRESTED

SASARAM---------------------------Rohtas police in Bihar have arrested a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader. Pradeep Dev, the state vice-president of the RJD's Extremely Backward Classes cell, is accused of defrauding someone of ₹2 crore. A special team of Rohtas police arrested the leader from Gopalganj district. This was confirmed by Bikramganj ASP Sanket Kumar.

₹1.98 Crore Taken on the Pretext of Providing Ration: According to the ASP, Pankaj Kumar Singh of Patna had filed a case at Natwar police station. Pradeep Dev, the state vice-president of the RJD's Extremely Backward Classes cell, a resident of Gopalganj, had allegedly taken ₹1.98 crore from him in installments on the pretext of providing him with rice from the FCI godown in Natwar, Rohtas. However, the grain was never delivered.

Pankaj realized that he had been cheated. He then filed a case at Natwar police station, accusing Pradeep Dev of fraud amounting to ₹1.98 crore. In this case, the police have arrested three people, including Pradeep Dev from Gopalganj. It should be noted that a case was registered against 11 people in this matter.

Total 11 Accused Named: According to the police, case number 140/24 was registered at Natwar police station based on the complainant's statement. After investigation, the case was found to be one of embezzlement. In total, there were 11 named accused. RJD leader Pradeep Dev was the primary accused. Two other people, Sanjay Kumar alias Amit Kumar (Sisirta) Dharmpura and Pankaj Kumar alias Vasu Singh Thatheri Buxar, have also been arrested in this case.
