SDRF SHOWED PROMPTNESS IN BHOJPUR

ARA------------------------Amidst the serious flood-like situation in the Sahar region of Bhojpur district, the SDRF team saved the lives of many people by carrying out rapid relief and rescue operations. Due to the activeness of the district administration and the promptness of the disaster management team, farmers and their cattle were taken to safe places on Thursday.

As per the instructions of District Magistrate Bhojpur Shri Tanay Sultania, on July 18, 2025, a special team of SDRF was deployed in various flood-affected villages of Sahar block. Due to continuous rains and increase in the water level of rivers, waterlogging and flood-like situation had arisen in many villages. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the district administration took immediate action and sent the relief and rescue team to the spot.

The SDRF team conducted a special rescue operation and safely evacuated the farmers and their cattle trapped in the water. In many areas, people were evacuated with the help of boats, while at some places the soldiers themselves entered the water and carried out rescue operations. The local people appreciated the promptness and service spirit of the SDRF team.

District Magistrate Tanay Sultania said that the administration is fully alert and the affected areas are being constantly monitored. The administration has already made all the necessary preparations to deal with any kind of emergency. The affected families are being shifted to safer places and relief camps have also been arranged for them.

During the rescue operation, many elderly, women and children were also evacuated safely. The district administration also informed that special arrangements have also been made for the cattle so that there is no loss of livestock. Facility of food, drinking water and health services has been ensured in the relief camps.

Every necessary step is being taken by the District Disaster Management Authority to deal with the floods in Bhojpur district. The team of officials is constantly visiting and relief work is being carried out smoothly with the cooperation of local public representatives.

DM Tanay Sultania clearly said that the priority is the safety of people's lives in every situation. Helpline numbers have also been issued in the affected areas so that the needy people can get immediate help.

The villagers expressed their gratitude to the SDRF and the district administration for their prompt action and said that if the rescue was not done on time, there could have been a big loss. At present, the teams of SDRF, administration and health department have taken charge in Bhojpur.
