ARA------------------------Under the special component scheme for scheduled castes, Mukhyamantri Gram Sampark Yojana (remaining), four important and long awaited roads of Shahpur assembly will be constructed. This work will be done for connecting roads between the villages and hamlets of scheduled castes. Administrative approval has been received for spending a total amount of Rs. 15 crore 23 lakh on it. The construction of all the said roads was recommended by the locals. Provision for private land acquisition has also been made so that there is no problem in the construction of roads. Also, these roads will be constructed under the maintenance policy.
The most important of these roads is Pipra Jagdish village of Pipra Jagdish Panchayat of Bihiya block of the assembly constituency. Where people have also agitated many times due to lack of road connectivity in the village for the last two decades. The population of about three thousand of the village will be directly connected by road.
This road will be constructed to connect Pipra Jagdish village to Teliya Inar located on Bihiya Chowrasta-Gaurapath. Where the dilapidated drain of the government tube well will be used in the road construction work. Its length will be about 1.120 km. About two crore 89 lakhs have been approved for its surfacing.
5 crore 22 lakhs have been approved for the construction of about 1.260 km road from Gaura Bind Toli to Tikapur Mahadalit Tola via Gaura Dera. While Rs 4 crore 53 lakhs have been approved for the construction of 1.520 km road from Gaura PWD road to Gaura Paschim Tola.
Similarly, approval of Rs 4 crore 24 lakhs has been given for the construction of 1.300 km road from Ramkarhi Dhala of Lalu Ke Dera Panchayat to Yadav Tola Madhopur Ward No. 09. After the approval of the construction of roads, local MLA Rahul Tiwari said that after the construction of these roads, the population of Mahadalit Tola will benefit and will be directly connected by road.
Gaura Panchayat head Manoj Thakur and Pipra Jagdish Panchayat head Subhadra Devi have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and local MLA Rahul Tiwari alias Mantu Tiwari.
