ARA--------------------------Armed criminals raided a house located at Raktu Tola Mod, adjacent to Jitaura Bazaar in the Piro police station area, looting cash and jewellery worth over one million rupees. The incident is reported to have occurred late on Tuesday night. According to information received regarding the incident, Rameshwar Sah, a resident of Dhamar village, lives with his family in a house near Raktu Tola Mod in Jitaura Bazaar. He also owns a grocery shop in the house. On Tuesday night, he and his family were sleeping in their house in Raktu Tola when armed criminals entered the house and took all the family members hostage at gunpoint. After taking them hostage, the criminals took approximately one lakh fifty thousand rupees, jewellery worth lakhs of rupees, clothes, utensils, and other valuables kept in the house and fled. After the criminals left, people nearby heard the commotion and freed the family members who had been held hostage. In this case, homeowner Rameshwar Sah has lodged an FIR against unknown criminals in Piro police station, on the basis of which the police is investigating.
