ARA----------------------------A retired BSF jawan was arrested with illegal pistol and bullets after raiding the Anand Nagar locality on Piprahian Road in Ara town police station area. He is originally Ratanjay Tiwari, son of Ramakant Tiwari, a resident of Galchour village in Krishnagarh police station area. He lived in a house on Piprahian Road in Anand Nagar. He was arrested from his house in the evening.

This information was given by ASP Parichay Kumar in a press conference on Wednesday. He said that on Wednesday evening, information was received that a person was seen carrying a weapon on Piprahian Road in Anand Nagar. He can commit a criminal incident. On that basis, he was arrested by the officers, jawans and jawans of ERV-02 under the leadership of Additional SHO Arvind Kumar. During the search, a country-made pistol, five live cartridges and a mobile were recovered from him. After interrogation about the weapon, he is being sent to jail. An FIR under the Arms Act has been filed against Ratanjay Tiwari, who was arrested in that case.
