DELHI---------------------------Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, launched a strong attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and the Election Commission while addressing the Congress party's ‘Vote Theft, Quit Power’ rally on Sunday. He said that Prime Minister Modi's confidence has been shattered because he knows that his “theft has been exposed” and the truth will soon be revealed to the public.

Rahul Gandhi said that the Constitution grants every citizen the right to one vote, and attacking this right is a direct insult to Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He alleged that the current government is working to weaken democratic institutions.

Rahul Gandhi also strongly criticized the RSS ideology. He said that Mahatma Gandhi and Hindu philosophy consider truth to be paramount, but the RSS's thinking is different. He cited a statement made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Andaman, in which he allegedly said that “the world sees power, not truth.”

Rahul Gandhi said, “This is their ideology. According to them, truth has no importance; power is everything.” He said that today, a struggle is going on between truth and falsehood in the country, and the Congress party will stand on the side of truth and remove Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the RSS-backed government from power.

In his address, Rahul Gandhi also directly accused the Election Commission. He claimed that the BJP allegedly distributed ₹10,000 during the elections, but the Election Commission took no action. He alleged that in this battle between truth and falsehood, the Election Commission is working in collusion with the BJP government.

Rahul Gandhi warned that the Narendra Modi government has enacted a new law to give a free hand to the Election Commission, but the Congress will change this law and take action against the Election Commissioners when it comes to power. Referring to the 2023 Election Commission context, he said, "You are the Election Commissioner of India, not Narendra Modi's Election Commissioner. The Congress party will ensure accountability by retrospectively changing the law."

Rahul Gandhi's aggressive stance during the rally reflects the Congress party's approach in the upcoming political struggle and electoral environment.
