ARA--------------------------National Press Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Information Building office on November 16, 2025. The program began with the welcoming of officials, journalists, and invited guests and the lighting of lamps. On this occasion, several important topics were discussed in detail, including the social responsibilities of the media, its role in the democratic system, and the importance of impartial and responsible journalism. Press freedom, considered the foundation of democracy, was emphasized, and the need to preserve it was emphasized.

The main theme of the program was "Preserving the credibility of the press amid growing misinformation." Important issues such as fake news, misinformation, the challenges posed by the spread of unverified news on social media, the responsible use of technology, the need for fact-checking, and journalistic ethics were also discussed in detail. At the end of the program, everyone pledged to promote clean, accurate, and credible journalism.

Information and Public Relations Officers, representatives from various print and electronic media outlets, and DPRO office staff were present on this occasion.
