ARA--------------------------Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor launched a blistering attack on the NDA and INDIA alliances, accusing their leaders of trembling as their political ground slips, while urging Union Minister Chirag Paswan to resign from the Modi cabinet to cement his role in Bihar’s politics.

On June 11, 2025, Kishor, during his Bihar Badlav Yatra in Bhojpur, addressed a public rally in Shahpur before holding a press conference at Ara’s Circuit House. He claimed both alliances are rattled by Jan Suraaj’s rise ahead of the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. “When we began our padyatra, the INDIA bloc called us BJP’s B-team. Now, with their ground slipping, NDA labels us INDIA’s B-team, and INDIA calls us NDA’s B-team,” Kishor said. He added, “Only leaders not contesting elections are speaking against Jan Suraaj. Sitting MLAs and candidates are silent, terrified of losing their footing.”

Kishor took aim at Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan’s announcement to contest the assembly polls, stating, “Chirag is already a Bihar MP, so he’s entrenched in state politics. But if he wants a bigger role, he must shed his attachment to Delhi and spend more time in Bihar.” He urged Paswan to resign from the Union cabinet, saying, “To make a genuine impact, Chirag must first quit the central ministry.”

Kishor’s remarks underscore Jan Suraaj’s aggressive push to challenge Bihar’s political heavyweights. His claim that only non-contesting leaders criticize his party signals a brewing fear among incumbents as the state gears up for a fiercely contested election.
