ARA---------------------------Another attack on a police team in Bihar has left four policemen seriously injured, and several vehicles vandalized by villagers. Tension has prevailed in the area following this incident.

In fact, villagers attacked a team from the Prohibition Department, which had arrived in Ganjpar village in the Barh subdivision to apprehend drunkards, leaving several policemen seriously injured. The Prohibition Department Inspector stated that they were traveling on the state highway through Ramnagar Diara in Athmagola after passing through Bakhtiyarpur when some drunkards were causing a ruckus. The team took action, apprehended one drunkard and forced him into the vehicle. Following this, the villagers became enraged and began pelting stones at the police.

Four vehicles were damaged in this incident. Several policemen were injured and are undergoing treatment at the Athmagola CHC. At present, the police have registered a case against 14 named and unidentified individuals and are investigating the matter. Sukhdev Kumar, a resident of Ganjpar, has also been arrested.
