POLICE ARRESTED TWO LIQUOR SMUGGLERS WITH 320 LITRES OF IMFL

ARA----------------------------Police of Gadhani police station recovered 320 liters of English liquor from a pickup on Wednesday morning. Two smugglers including the pickup driver have also been arrested from the spot. These include Sonu Kumar, son of Nand Kishore Rai, resident of Sabalpur Naval Tola of Sonpur police station area of ​​​​Chhapra district and Sonu Kumar, son of Shatrughan Rai of the same village. Both were arrested near the petrol pump located in Gadhani market.

According to the police, the consignment of liquor was being taken from UP to Sonpur in Chapra. The value of the seized liquor is estimated to be around five to six lakh rupees. According to the information, on Wednesday morning the police received information that a consignment of English liquor was being taken to Arrah from Piro in a pickup.

The police team under the leadership of SHO Kamal Jeet immediately started vehicle checking near Gadhani petrol pump. During that time, on the basis of input, a pickup was searched and 1776 pieces of tetra pack liquor were recovered from 32 cartons and five plastic bags. After that, the pickup was seized and the two smugglers riding in it were arrested. The police is engaged in arresting the other people involved in the smuggling after getting information about them on the basis of interrogation of both of them.
