SASARAM--------------------------Police Captain Roshan Kumar has achieved a major success. He has arrested a criminal carrying a reward of 50,000 rupees from Jharkhand.
On 28.04.2025, businessman Suraj Prasad Sah (approximately 52 years old) was kidnapped by criminals from in front of Hariom Medical on the old GT Road at Amar Talab in Sasaram. A ransom of ₹50,00,000 (50 lakh rupees) was subsequently demanded.
On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Roshan Kumar, a special police team was formed under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer-01 Dilip Kumar Sasaram to safely recover the kidnapped person and arrest the criminals. The team included the Station House Officer of Karwandiya and the District Intelligence Unit for technical assistance.
The investigation revealed that the crime was committed by the gang of Ashok Sah, alias Ashok Master. Seven other members of his gang were also found to be involved.
Based on technical evidence and intelligence, the kidnapped businessman, Suraj Prasad, was safely recovered within four hours from Paduri village on the banks of the Son River in the Nasriganj police station area. Seven other gang members were arrested and sent to judicial custody, while the gang leader, Ashok Sah alias Ashok Master, went into hiding after the incident.
On 05.11.2025, intelligence was received that the absconding gang leader, Ashok Sah alias Ashok Master, was in Gamharia village, under the Hussainabad police station area of Palamu district, Jharkhand. Based on this information, a police team raided Gamharia village and arrested the notorious criminal, Ashok Sah alias Ashok Master, from a house.
During interrogation, the arrested gang leader, Ashok Sah alias Ashok Master, confessed to this incident and several other kidnappings for ransom. The arrested gang leader, Ashok Sah alias Ashok Master, is also wanted in several cases of kidnapping for ransom and the Arms Act. The police had announced a reward of ₹50,000 for the arrest of Ashok Sah, alias Ashok Master. Other members of the gang are being searched for and their network is being investigated. Ashok Sah has a criminal history of six cases (photo in comment). His other criminal history is being investigated. All members of the police team will be rewarded. Ashok Sah, alias Ashok Master, son of Ramraj Sah, is a resident of Harihar Ganj, Nasriganj, Rohtas district.
