PATNA------------------------A case of kidnapping of Rakesh Kumar, attendant of coach B-2 of Patliputra Express (train number 18622), has come to light. The incident took place between Mokama and Barh railway stations of Danapur Railway Division, where the miscreants forcibly removed the coach attendant from the train. After the incident, the Barh and Patna Railway Police as well as the RPF team became active and extensive raids were conducted.

The incident started after the Patliputra Express left Hatia station at 10 pm on Thursday. At 11:30 am on Friday, when the train was between Shahari Halt and Barh station, the miscreants stopped the train by chain pulling. After this, these miscreants pulled out coach B-2 attendant Rakesh Kumar from the train. During this, the miscreants also opened fire to spread panic, which caused panic among the passengers.

After the incident, the police and RPF team started immediate action and recovered coach attendant Rakesh Kumar safely near Hathidah station. Understanding the seriousness of the matter, the police intensified the raids in the area. Rakesh Kumar is a resident of Chittaranjan and the police succeeded in bringing him back safely.

According to railway sources, this attack was well planned and liquor smugglers may be involved in it. It is being told that Rakesh Kumar had given information related to liquor smuggling to the railway police a few days ago, due to which a big liquor smuggling network was exposed. The liquor smugglers had planned this kidnapping to take revenge for this.

In this case, five suspects have been detained from Barh area. The police have also recovered weapons and consignment of liquor from these suspects. Three suspects have been kept in Barh police station, while the railway police is interrogating two others. A press conference will be held in Patna on this entire matter, in which police officers will give detailed information about the incident.

This incident raises questions on rail security and the safety of passengers. However, the police has acted swiftly and recovered the coach attendant safely, but now it remains to be seen to what extent the police is able to catch the network of liquor smugglers in the coming days. The investigation in this case is ongoing.
