ONE YOUTH KILLED WHEN A SCORPIO FELL INTO THE RIVER GANGA

BUXAR------------------------A tragic road accident took place on the old Veer Kunwar bridge connecting Bihar and UP. The speeding Scorpio went out of control, broke the railing of the bridge and fell into the river Ganga. The rescue operation was going on since the accident.

After about ten hours of hard work, on Saturday morning, the rescue team pulled the Scorpio out of the Ganga with the help of two cranes.

The body of a young man was recovered from the car, who was identified as Arjun Singh alias Jhamu (22 years), son of Sanjay Singh, a resident of Dullhapur village of Simri police station area. Arjun was pulled out of the Ganga at night and was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. A mobile phone has also been recovered from the Scorpio, which is said to be of Harsh Singh (22 years), son of Shashi Singh. It is suspected that Harsh was also riding in the Scorpio at the time of the accident. To search for him, the SDRF and the diving team are now conducting a search operation in the Ganges. On receiving the news of the accident, angry villagers blocked NH-84 and started shouting slogans against the administration. The officials who arrived after getting the information removed the blockade by persuading the people and appealed for cooperation from the people. The administration has started investigating the case and the search for the other missing youth is also on.
