PATNA------------------------Now, temples across Bihar will not only hear the sound of bells, but also the same rituals of worship, performed simultaneously at the same time. The Bihar government has taken a unique and significant decision to systematically propagate Sanatan Dharma in the state. Now, a special 'sarathi' (coordinator) will be appointed in each district to lift the flag of religion beyond government files.
The Bihar State Religious Trust Council (BSRTC), which falls under the Law Department, has decided to appoint one coordinator in each of the state's 38 districts. Their role will not only be administrative oversight, but also to awaken religious consciousness. Council President Ranbir Nandan, while revealing this 'mega plan', explained that these coordinators will directly connect with the chief priests of the state's 2,499 registered monasteries and temples.
The most interesting aspect of this plan is the "religious calendar" that is being implemented. The worship pattern in temples will now be synchronized:
• On the full moon day: The "Satyanarayan Katha" will resonate in every registered temple.
• On the new moon day: A special "Bhagwati Puja" will be organized.
The coordinators will be responsible for ensuring not only that this puja is performed but also that its significance reaches the general public. The objective is clear: to connect devotees more deeply with the temples emotionally and spiritually.
Until now, the Religious Trust Council's role was primarily to maintain and protect temple property records. However, this decision has changed the council's role. Now, in addition to monitoring, this institution will also mentor religious rituals.
