PATNA--------------------------Patna High Court granted bail to Kanhaiya Prasad, son of MLC Radha Charan Sah, with conditions in the illegal sand mining case. Justice Prabhat Kumar Singh on the matter
The court has asked the applicant to appear regularly and on time before the Special Court (PMLA) and cooperate with the court for speedy disposal of the case. Also, it has been ordered not to leave the country during the bail period and submit his passport before the trial court.
Apart from this, at the time of coming out of jail, he has been asked to provide his mobile number to ED and keep it on at all times and has been forbidden to turn it off or change it without informing ED. If the applicant changes his address, then ED as well as the court will have to be informed. Bail has been granted on the condition of not getting involved in any criminal activity during the bail period.
The applicant has been ordered not to try to contact and talk to prosecution witnesses directly or indirectly. In case of absence of the applicant and obstruction in speedy execution of the case, the bail granted will be cancelled.
It is worth noting that he remained in jail for about 15 months from 18 September 2023 to 15 May 2024 and then from 19 February till now.
