MEETING ON POLITICAL PARTY EXPENDITURE
The Nodal Officer, Expenditure and Monitoring Cell, organized a training session with the presidents of all political parties regarding election expenditures for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025. The Nodal Officer stated that the maximum expenditure limit for the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections is ₹40 lakh, which includes all expenditure incurred by a candidate from nomination to the declaration of results.
SASARAM (RNI) The Nodal Officer, Expenditure and Monitoring Cell, organized a training session with the presidents of all political parties regarding election expenditures for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025. The Nodal Officer stated that the maximum expenditure limit for the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections is ₹40 lakh, which includes all expenditure incurred by a candidate from nomination to the declaration of results.
The Nodal Officer stated that there is no set number of vehicles for a candidate in the election, but the cost of each vehicle used for campaigning will be included in the candidate's expenditure. The Nodal Officer stated that the Model Code of Conduct will come into effect from the date of the press release. All posters, banners, and cutouts used for campaigning must be removed from government property within 24 hours, from public property within 48 hours, and from private property within 72 hours after the Model Code of Conduct comes into effect. Otherwise, a case of violation of the Model Code of Conduct will be filed. Political parties will have to obtain permission for meetings, rallies and processions etc. from the concerned returning officer through a single window and will have to provide information about the possible expenditure on meetings, rallies and processions in the prescribed form. It is necessary to print the name of the printer and publisher on the pamphlets, handbills and posters printed for political publicity and information about the expenditure incurred in this will be given to the Expenditure and Monitoring Cell. Ramchandra Thakur, Alakh Niranjan, Sattar Ansari, Prince Raj, Nandkishore Paswan, Tej Pratap, Vijay Bharti, Mohd. Sabir Hussain, Rakesh Kumar Rai, Rajeshwar Kushwaha, Farooq Azad and other public representatives were present in the programme.
