MARRIED WOMAN POISONED TO DEATH IN BHOJPUR DISTRICT

The recovery of the body of a 40-year-old woman hanging from an iron pipe on Thursday evening in Mahudayi village of Sinha police station area of ​​Bhojpur district caused a stir. Seeing the semi-circular black mark found on the neck of the deceased, prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide, but the family has made serious allegations like the husband's illegal relationship and threatening to kill, due to which the matter has become complicated. The deceased has been identified as Putul Devi, wife of Chotan Yadav, a resident of Chhine village of Sinha police station area. Putul Devi was living in her maternal home in Mahudayi village, where this incident took place. • The deceased's brother Sangam Yadav made a very serious allegation and said that his sister's husband Chotan Yadav had an illicit relationship with his own sister-in-law. Due to this, Chotan did not give money to his wife Putul, and her parents were the ones who were supporting her. Sangam Yadav further said that about three months ago, Putul's in-laws had mixed poison in her food, due to which her condition deteriorated so much that she had to be treated for eight days in a private hospital in Ara city. After treatment, Putul had come to her maternal home and was living there since then.

Sangam Yadav claims that even after coming to her maternal home, Putul's in-laws and husband were constantly threatening her on the phone that "This time you have been saved, but this time you will not be able to escape."

When Putul's mother had gone to Barhara and the children had gone to study, she committed suicide by hanging herself with a dupatta from the iron pipe on the balcony of the house. When her daughter returned home after studying, she found her mother hanging. The daughter immediately informed her maternal uncle (Sangam Yadav) and others about this. The family reached the spot and informed the local police.

The police took the body into custody and got it post-mortem done at Sadar Hospital. Sangam Yadav has suspected that Putul might have been forced to commit suicide due to depression because of her husband's illicit relationship and constant threats.

It is said that Putul Devi was the only beloved child of her parents and she had a brother and a sister. She has two sons (Ashish, Anish) and two daughters (Anchal, Anshu). Her husband runs a Khatal in Kolkata. After this incident, there is chaos in Putul's house and all the family members are crying inconsolably. At present, the police is investigating the matter thoroughly at its level.
