ARA-----------------------------Under this, Mahila Chaupal was organized in Ghazipur village for women empowerment. The problems of hundreds of women of the village were heard and resolved. During the program, social worker Sonali Singh was given a grand welcome by the rural women and they were blessed. During the Mahila Chaupal program, more than a thousand women put forward their problems. After this, Sonali Singh honored all the women by giving them shawls. Women raised serious problems like poor roads of the area, health system, lack of education and employment.
Ghazipur resident Phoolan Devi said that there are no roads till our house, the situation becomes very serious during the rainy season. Till now many women in our village have not got the benefit of housing scheme. We have been thinking of building a house for many years but there is no one to help. The condition of electricity is also bad, if the wire breaks then it cannot be built for two days. We have not been able to get the benefit of Ujjwala Yojana either. Our demand is that poor people like us should get government schemes. For which we have come to Sonali Singh to listen to our problems.
Gorki Devi said that there is no road, but pipes have been laid for water till the house but till date there is no water in it. We pay electricity bills on time, we have neither AC nor cooler in our house, despite that the electricity bill is very high. We have complained about this problem to many public representatives and officials but its solution has not been found till date. Some months the electricity bill comes to 10 to 12,000. We are poor people, from where will we pay such a high electricity bill. The same women have demanded to build a Panchayat Bhawan in the village.
Meanwhile, during the Mahila Chaupal, young leader and social worker Sonali Singh said that we do not do Mahila Chaupal for discussion. It is also to demand our rights. Our government which has been there for 20 years talks about women. That promise is limited only to posters. All the promises fail when it comes to the ground. There is talk of 50 percent participation of women in the country. Why is there no talk of 100 percent respect? Basic problems are being seen in every village. There is no road, water supply or path in front of the house. The biggest problem is of smart meter. Even if the house is a hut, smart meter is being installed. Due to which the poor are getting higher bills. Due to these reasons, the women of the house are suffering.
The people in our government talk about drug free Bihar, today small children are roaming around as peddlers. They are working to deliver liquor to different places. Our Bihar has become worse. The development that the people of the government talk about, they will have to bring it on the ground and work by forming a team. The government brings a scheme and leaves it, it is not even monitored. Unless there is monitoring, the schemes cannot reach the people.
