ARA-------------------------The state-level Under-17 cricket tournament organized by the School Games Federation in Ara, Bihar, has begun with great fanfare. Teams from nine divisions of Bihar – Patna, Tirhut, Saran, Darbhanga, Kosi, Purnea, Bhagalpur, Munger, and Magadh – are participating in this competition. Each team will play only one match in this tournament, and players who perform well in all matches will be selected for the Bihar Under-17 team. Accommodation and food arrangements for all teams have also been made by the district administration at the sports complex. Several government physical education teachers have been officially appointed for the organization of the tournament.

The objective of this entire tournament is to prepare the Bihar Under-17 cricket team. Selectors are closely monitoring the batting, bowling, fitness, and fielding of the players in every match. Young players from each division are trying to attract the attention of the selectors with their outstanding performances.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the tournament, the district administration has appointed several officials. At the Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, officials from every department are handling their responsibilities related to ground management, security, health facilities, ambulance services, crowd management, and match management to ensure the tournament runs smoothly. Due to the active participation of the administrative team, a safe and positive environment has been provided for both players and spectators.

To maintain transparency and professional quality in match conduct, referees and match officials have been sent by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA). Their presence ensures adherence to technical standards in the tournament. All processes, from umpiring to scoring, are being conducted under the guidelines of the BCA. The crowds of spectators in the stadium, the enthusiasm of the players, and the meticulous arrangements by the administration have transformed Ara into a cricket hub in Bihar these days. The excitement and thrill are continuously increasing with each match of the tournament.

The crucial matches in the coming days will determine which players will secure a place in the Bihar Under-17 cricket team and represent the state. A ​​physical education teacher appointed by the District Council stated that this tournament is organized every year for the selection of the Bihar Under-17 team. This year, it is a matter of pride for Bhojpur district that the tournament is being held at the Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium in Bhojpur. The district administration is leaving no stone unturned to make the tournament a success. The Bhojpur district administration and the Bihar government share the same goal: to provide an opportunity for talented players to showcase their skills.
