PATNA-------------------------The government has made a significant decision for Vikas Mitras and Shiksha Sevaks, providing assistance for the purchase of tablets and smartphones.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that the government is continuously working to uplift the underprivileged, following the principle of development with justice. In this regard, the government has decided to provide new facilities to Vikas Mitras and Shiksha Sevaks, who are actively involved in delivering benefits to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
The Chief Minister announced that each Vikas Mitra working under the Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission will receive a one-time grant of ₹25,000 to purchase a tablet. This will facilitate data maintenance and other tasks for beneficiaries. Additionally, their transportation allowance has been increased from ₹1,900 per month to ₹2,500 per month, and their stationery allowance has been increased from ₹900 per month to ₹1,500 per month.
Similarly, Shiksha Sevaks (including those from Talimi Markaz) who contribute to connecting Mahadalit, Dalit, minority, and extremely backward class children to education and to making women literate will be given Rs. 10,000 each to purchase smartphones. It has also been decided to increase the payment for teaching materials from Rs. 3,405 to Rs. 6,000 per center per year.
The Chief Minister said that these decisions will boost the morale of Vikas Mitra and Shiksha Sevaks, encouraging them to perform their duties with greater enthusiasm and dedication.
