Ara. Radha Charan Shah, alias Seth Ji, a resident of Bhojpur, who rose from selling jalebi to becoming a wealthy man, and after becoming an MLC, is now on the path to becoming an MLA. He filed his nomination papers on Friday. He is currently a JDU MLC. This time, he has been nominated as the NDA candidate from the Sandesh Assembly constituency. It is said that a tough stance is required to become a strongman, but Radha Charan Shah used his sweet words to chart a different path, and the result has been his nomination by the NDA as an MLA candidate.

JDU candidate Radha Charan Shah arrived at Hotel Regal on Ramna Road in the city after offering prayers at a temple at around 10 am on Friday. He then filed his nomination papers. A nomination meeting and blessing ceremony was held. On this occasion, candidate Radhacharan Sah said, "Whenever I have had the opportunity, I have been fully present in your service. You all elected me as an MLC, and I have worked for development in every field."

He urged everyone to give me their support and blessings. "I not only promise, but I assure you that development work will take place in every area of ​​the state. We have always worked for every section of society, rising above caste and creed. Today, I need your blessings. I am begging for your support."

MLC Sanjay Singh, who was present at the meeting, said that the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is being discussed in every household. The development work done by the double-engine government is being discussed in other states. During the meeting, Bhojpuri singer Aryan Kumar and singers entertained the gathering.

It should be noted that Radhacharan Sah is a resident of Barhara block in Bhojpur district. Old-timers say that in 1971, his father owned a jalebi shop outside the Ara railway station. Radha Charan Sah used to help his father. After this, his fortunes began to change. Radha Charan first opened a hotel and never looked back. Today, he owns a shop, a rice mill, a cold storage, and several resorts. In Ara, he owns Ramna Maidan, a hotel at Shaheed Bhawan, and a resort on Bypass Road. He also has hotel operations in Uttarakhand and Himachal.

The Son River in Bhojpur is famous for its sand, and instead of venturing far afield, Radha Charan Sah began establishing his influence in his own area. From a jalebi shop, he expanded into hotels, land, and eventually, he entered the sand syndicate, establishing his dominance. Radha Charan Sah has been raided numerous times by major agencies, including the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He and his son Kanhaiya Prasad had to spend some time in jail, but now the NDA has once again reposed its faith in him and he has been fielded to conquer the RJD's stronghold in the Sandesh Assembly constituency.

However, Radha Charan Shah's fight in the Sandesh Assembly constituency does not appear to be easy. This constituency, already known as the RJD's stronghold, is the mansion of Arun Yadav. Arun Yadav was the first MLA, defeating his brother Vijendra Yadav by 25,000 votes in 2015. After that, his wife Kiran Devi won by 56,000 votes. This time, Arun Yadav and Kiran Devi's son, Deepu Yadav, have entered the fray. Consequently, Radha Charan Shah, also known as Seth Ji, will face a tough fight in the Sandesh Assembly constituency.
