FLOOD AND EROSION VICTIMS WILL GHERAO THE BLOCK OFFICE: RAHUL TIWARI

ARA---------------------------MLA of Shahpur assembly constituency of Bhojpur district Rahul Tiwari alias Mantu Tiwari reached Jawainia village on Wednesday amidst the strong current and flood of the surging Ganga and met the flood and erosion victims and came face to face with their problems. Taking a jibe at the minister in charge and the government, he said that the government is shying away from its responsibility in the disaster. He said that the minister in charge of Bhojpur district and the Panchayati Raj Minister returned from the road after seeing the water. The result of which is that the administration has not even opened anyone's log book yet and has not made arrangements for boats for the movement of people. Langar is not being run in sufficient quantity for the erosion and flood victims. Flood and erosion victims have somehow taken shelter at Shyam Baba and Deeh Baba dam. Three langars should be run there too. The administration is unaware of this. Drinking water, toilets, even plastics have not been arranged properly at all three places.

He said that due to the disaster management work not being done properly, the block administration is avoiding coordination or taking and sharing information with the Panchayat representatives. After meeting the erosion and flood victims, MLA Rahul Tiwari alias Mantu Tiwari has informed the District Magistrate Bhojpur about the entire situation. He demanded the arrangement of boat log book, three anchors, water, plastic, toilets etc. by tomorrow Thursday and said that if the facility is not made available by Thursday, then on Friday he will surround the Shahpur block office with the erosion and flood victims. The entire responsibility for which will be of the government and the administration.
