District Information and Public Relations Department, Rohtas said that all media institutions are informed that an FIR has been lodged by the Zonal Officer, Suryapura (Rohtas) at Mahila Thana, Dehri (Rohtas) against some unknown persons, media channels, Facebook pages, WhatsApp groups and other social media mediums.

SASARAM----------------------------District Information and Public Relations Department, Rohtas said that all media institutions are informed that an FIR has been lodged by the Zonal Officer, Suryapura (Rohtas) at Mahila Thana, Dehri (Rohtas) against some unknown persons, media channels, Facebook pages, WhatsApp groups and other social media mediums.
It has been mentioned in the FIR that some videos were broadcast/published on TV channels and social media platforms without any verification and authenticity check, in which the language used is objectionable and the facts have been presented in a distorted manner, which has hurt their reputation.
Therefore, all media institutions and digital platforms are requested to properly check the truth and authenticity before publishing and broadcasting such sensitive news, so that the dissemination of misleading, unconfirmed or insulting information can be avoided.
