EMPHASIS ON ALL-ROUND DEVELOPMENT OF THE DISTRICT

ARA-------------------------A review meeting of the District Cooperative Development Committee was held today in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania. Officials of Cooperative, Agriculture and other related departments participated in this meeting and detailed discussion was held on the all-round development of Bhojpur district through cooperation.
District Development Manager, NABARD informed that after the formation of the Ministry of Cooperation, schemes are being continuously made in the interest of cooperative societies and their members. In view of the importance of cooperation, the year 2025 has been declared as the International Cooperative Year.
In the meeting, there was an in-depth discussion on topics such as computerization of PACS, establishment of Common Service Centre, Jan Aushadhi Kendra, petrol-diesel outlet, development of PACS as a multipurpose institution, adoption of model bye-laws, expansion of decentralized storage scheme, formation of joint working committee, empowerment of three-tier cooperative institutions (PACS, Dairy, Fisheries Committees), organization of programs and workshops under International Cooperative Year 2025, and liquidation or reactivation of non-functional committees on the portal.
The District Magistrate directed that for effective implementation of the schemes of the Cooperative Department, necessary government land should be made available to the committees through Additional Collector and Zonal Officers.
Deputy Development Commissioner, Assistant Collector, District Cooperative Officer, Managing Director (District Milk Organization), Managing Director (District Fisheries Federation), District Development Manager (NABARD), Managing Director (Central Cooperative Bank, Ara), District Planning Officer, General Manager/Project Officer (District Industries Center), District Fisheries Officer, District Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Executive Officer (District Council) and other officers were present in the meeting.
This meeting will prove important in providing new direction to cooperative based development in the district and in accelerating the preparations for the International Cooperative Year 2025.
