BHABHUA--------------------------A minor dispute in Derwa village under Kudra police station area on Wednesday escalated into a bloody clash. An argument over moving a tractor through a narrow lane fueled pre-existing animosity, leading to a violent confrontation between two groups involving sticks, stones, and bricks. Approximately a dozen people were injured in the clash, and an elderly man died during treatment. Following the incident, the deceased's family has leveled serious allegations against the local police administration, further intensifying the situation. According to reports, the main reason for the dispute was a scratch on a wall caused while moving the tractor through the lane. Tensions were already high between the families of Ram Iqbal Singh and Gopal Singh in the village due to ongoing disputes over encroachment on government land and illegal mining. On Wednesday, when the argument over moving the tractor erupted, both sides confronted each other. The situation quickly escalated into a violent clash with sticks, stones, and bricks being used. Police arrived at the scene, controlled the situation, and recovered a country-made pistol (weapon) from the spot. Those injured from one side included Vijay Shankar Singh, Ram Iqbal Singh, Ankit Singh, Shanti Devi, and Neelam Devi, while those injured from the other side included Gopal Singh, Harendra Singh, Upendra Singh, and Shriram Singh. All the injured were immediately taken by the police to the Community Health Center in Kudra. After primary treatment, some of the seriously injured were referred to a higher center. During this process, 64-year-old Shriram Singh (son of late Vishwanath Singh) from Gopal Singh's side, whose condition deteriorated, died during treatment in Varanasi. Following Shriram Singh's death, his family's anger erupted against the police administration. The deceased's family alleged that the police kept Shriram Singh at the police station for a considerable time instead of taking him to the hospital immediately after he was injured. They claim that his death was due to the lack of timely and proper treatment. The family members also allege that when they went to the police station to file a complaint, the police stalled. They claim that the police first registered the case of the other party and only later filed the FIR for the deceased's side.

In this matter, the police say that as soon as they received the information, a police team reached the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital. Applications have been received from both sides, and an FIR has been registered, and further legal action is being taken. The investigation is ongoing, taking the recovery of weapons and the death case seriously.
