DISTRICT LEVEL SCHOOL SPORTS COMPETITION INAUGURATED

ARA----------------------------In light of the Sports Calendar 2025-26 released by the Sports Department and the Bihar State Sports Authority, the District-Level School Sports Competition was formally inaugurated at the Bhojpur Sports Building, as directed by District Magistrate Bhojpur Tanay Sultania. The competition will be held at various sports grounds across Bhojpur district from October 11th to 15th, 2025.

Approximately 4,700 schoolchildren are participating in this four-day competition, which began on Saturday. They will showcase their skills in various sports competitions in the under-14, under-17, and under-19 age groups. This event is an important step towards encouraging sports talent in Bhojpur district, promoting their all-round development, and gaining them recognition at the state and national levels.

Addressing the participants on this occasion, the District Education Officer emphasized the importance of consistent hard work, discipline, and dedication as the keys to success. He said that there are immense possibilities in the field of sports and it is a matter of pride for Bhojpur district that the players here have been performing excellently over the years. He expressed confidence that in the coming times, the talented players of the district will set new records and take the name of the district to greater heights at the state and national level.

During the program, the District Education Officer, District Program Officer (Samagra Shiksha), District Statistics Officer, District Planning Officer, District Art and Culture Officer, District Industries General Manager, District Sports Officer, Deputy Project Director (ATMA), concerned physical education teachers and sports department personnel were present.
