DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION’S HUMANITARIAN INITIATIVE FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED PEOPLE

ARA-------------------------The district administration of Bhojpur has shown human sensitivity and accelerated relief work in Jabinia village, which is facing the horrors of floods. As per the instructions of District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania, food is being provided continuously through community kitchen in flood-affected village Jabinia of Shahpur zone. Under this initiative, not only food is being ensured to the affected people, but milk has also been arranged for small children.

The officer in charge of disaster management took stock of the needs of the local people by having food in the community kitchen in Jabinia. During this, he received direct feedback on the quality of food and understood the problems of the affected people. Also, Sub-Divisional Officer Jagdishpur visited the village and reviewed the quality of relief services and prioritized the needs of the flood-affected people by establishing direct communication with them.

District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania said, "Our aim is that no flood-affected person should face any problem for basic facilities. Community kitchens and other relief services are working continuously to meet the needs of the affected." This sensitive initiative of the district administration has raised hopes of relief among the flood-affected people of Jabinia. Local people appreciated the efforts of the administration and called it an important support in the hour of crisis.
