PATNA---------------------------CPI-ML workers participated in large numbers in the 'Voter Rights Yatra' organized on the call of India Alliance on 1 September 2025. A special march of CPI-ML under the leadership of party general secretary Com. Dipankar Bhattacharya and other senior leaders reached Gandhi Maidan at 9 am from the MLA residence at Veerchand Patel Path via Dakbungla Square. The main march will start from there at 11 am.
On 31 August, a comprehensive public relations campaign was carried out in the entire Patna city. Through the publicity vehicle, people were connected to the campaign in various localities - Kurji, Digha, Raja Bazaar, Aashiyana, Kankarbagh, Changar, NIT Mor, Sabzibagh, Lalbagh, New Market, Boring Road, Station etc. This publicity campaign was led by the party's metropolitan secretary Jitendra Kumar, youth leader Puneet Pathak, footpath shopkeepers leader Shahzade Alam, Pramod Yadav of Jasm and Rajan. During the campaign, slogans and songs like “Gali-Gali Mein Mach Gaya Shor, Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” were raised.
In the evening, in a street meeting organised at Patna Junction, MLA from Arwal, Com. Mahanand Singh, State Convenor of AIPF Kamlesh Sharma and Ranvijay Kumar of AICCTU addressed the public.
Com. Mahanand Singh said that today the whole of Bihar is raising its voice against vote theft. Tomorrow, the public's anger will be seen on the streets of Patna. We will not tolerate the joke being played on the people of Bihar in the name of SIR. Com. Kamlesh Sharma said that this is not just a yatra, it is the knock of change in Bihar. The useless government of BJP and JDU will not last long now. The public has decided for change this time. The meeting was conducted by youth leader Puneet Kumar and hundreds of shopkeepers and common citizens participated and listened to the speakers.
