PATNA----------------------A high level delegation of CPI(ML) reached the office of Chief Electoral Officer, Bihar today with Form-6 of Mintu Paswan who was declared dead and excluded from SIR from 194, Ara Assembly Constituency, met the CEO and said that this complaint should be registered officially on behalf of the party. It is known that this Mintu Paswan had appeared in the Supreme Court.

CPI-ML State Secretary Kunal led this delegation. He also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer and said that under the SIR process, a total of 65,64,075 voters have been excluded from the voter list in the state. In this regard, our party, Communist Party of India (CPIM) Liberation, has submitted applications at the party level and through authorized BLA-2 at various places for those citizens whose names have been improperly removed from the voter list. However, during this entire process, the bulletin issued by the election office every day shows that no claim or objection has been lodged by the political parties. This is creating a misleading and factless perception in the minds of the people, whereas the reality is the opposite.

Through telephonic conversations, we have come to know that in such cases, if Form-6 is forwarded by the BLA-2 of the political parties and handed over to the BLO, then only it is considered an authorized complaint. But it is necessary to clarify that there is no column for signature or approval for the BLA in Form-6, which is creating a lot of confusion and uncertainty. As a result, despite our continuous filing of complaints, it is recorded as 'zero' in the official records of the Election Commission.

The CEO said that since it is not in the proper format, it is not being credited to the accounts of political parties. The CPI(ML) State Secretary also said that instructions should be issued to the Election Officer to organize camps at the Panchayat level for issuing housing and caste certificates to the needy.

In Mintu Paswan's case, the CEO called the concerned BLO from his phone and asked how Mintu Paswan was declared dead? The BLO told that the name of some other Mintu Kumar was there, instead of him this Mintu Paswan's name was deleted. Thereafter Mintu Paswan tried to give his Form-6 to the CEO, but he said that he should go and give it to the BLO only.

Apart from the CPI(ML) state secretary, the delegation included media in-charge Kumar Parvez, Ara secretary Kayamuddin Ansari, Visheshwar Paswan, Agiaon MLA Shivprakash Ranjan, Santosh Sahar etc.

CPI(ML) state secretary Kunal said that the entire process is opaque. Deleting someone's name without taking any proof from the family comes under the category of crime. The Election Commission will have to take responsibility for this.
