In this regard, an important inter-state and inter-district border meeting was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, under the chairmanship of the District Election Officer of Kaimur.

BHABHUA-----------------------The Kaimur district administration has geared up to ensure a fair and peaceful conduct of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. In this regard, an important inter-state and inter-district border meeting was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, under the chairmanship of the District Election Officer of Kaimur. Representatives from Buxar, Rohtas, Chandauli, Ghazipur, and Sonbhadra districts participated in the meeting via video conferencing and in person. The District Election Officer stated that strict monitoring and checking of vehicles coming from all border districts is essential during the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasized that smuggling of liquor, cash, and other narcotics increases during elections, which is essential to control. All officials present were instructed to ensure intensive and thorough checking at checkpoints in their respective border districts. The meeting also expressed concern about the potential for smuggling through the Karmanasha River, and directed that strict monitoring of riverine traffic be maintained. To ensure no illegal activities occur, SST (Static Surveillance Team) checkpoints have been established along the borders of all border districts. Magistrates and police officers have been deputed to these checkpoints 24x7 and have been directed to conduct intensive checking. The District Election Officer issued clear instructions to completely seal all borders before polling day. Representatives from all border districts agreed to take intensive action. The Bhabua and Mohania subdivisional officers were directed to coordinate with all border districts and ensure intensive checking. The meeting directed the full activation of all STs (Surveillance Teams). In addition, intensive patrols were also directed in Adhaura, Chainpur, Nuaon, Durgawati, Chand, Bhagwanpur, and other border blocks. Superintendent of Police, Kaimur, Deputy Development Commissioner, Kaimur, Additional Collector, Kaimur, District Transport Officer, Kaimur, Superintendent of Prohibition, Kaimur, Deputy Election Officer, Kaimur and other officers were present in this important meeting.
