CONSIDERATION ON FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO WORKERS OF RECOGNIZED POLITICAL PARTIES IN BIHAR
The role of political workers is important in the democratic system. These workers are the link that acts as a bridge between the public and the government. But the sad situation is that most of the workers spend their lives in a state of financial constraints and insecurity. They keep serving society and politics without salary and without any social security.

PATNA-----------------------The role of political workers is important in the democratic system. These workers are the link that acts as a bridge between the public and the government. But the sad situation is that most of the workers spend their lives in a state of financial constraints and insecurity. They keep serving society and politics without salary and without any social security.
Strengthening democracy: Workers work to convey the issues of the public to the government. If their position is strong then democracy will be even stronger.
Fair participation: Today the dominance of financially capable people is increasing in politics. If financial assistance is received, poor and middle class workers will also be able to participate in politics equally.
Social security: Just as farmers, workers and journalists get the benefit of social security schemes, political workers should also get it.
No direct assistance: If the government gives financial help directly to the workers then there will be a possibility of bias and corruption.
Party based funding: The government can fund all recognized political parties based on their vote percentage or membership number. This fund should be spent on the welfare of workers in a transparent manner.
Social security schemes: Facilities like insurance, pension, health assistance and concession in train/bus travel can be provided to workers.
In a state like Bihar, where a large number of youth and workers from the poor section strengthen democratic politics, it is important to make a concrete policy for their future and security. This will not only strengthen democracy but will also reduce the influence of money power and bias in politics.
