CONGRESS DEMANDS RESIGANTION FROM THE HEALTH MINISTER

ARA------------------------Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee's explosive allegation on ambulance purchase scam - Health Minister Mangal Pandey should resign immediately. In the name of strengthening health services in Bihar, open loot of public money has come to light.

An ambulance costing only ₹23 lakh in the open market was purchased in 500 units at the rate of ₹27 lakh per unit, which resulted in an additional burden of ₹4 lakh on each ambulance and a total scam of about ₹20 crore.

The irony is that the Uttar Pradesh government had purchased the same ambulance for just ₹16 lakh. In the name of 'double engine' in Bihar, the public is being given 'double loss'.

Pramod Rai, advocate and representative of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, said in sharp words—"Mangal Pandey ji, this is not just ambulance purchase, it is robbery of the public's right to health. You have no moral right to remain in your post. Corruption has also doubled in the double engine government. The public will not sit silent now." Congress demands.
