PATNA-------------------------Amid the heat of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son Nishant Kumar interacted with people in Patna on Sunday. The program has been named 'Nishant Samvad', which has created a stir in political circles. Nishant Kumar, who has so far stayed away from politics, is now slowly appearing on public platforms. The posters outside the JDU office have workers demanding that Nishant contest the elections, which has further strengthened speculation of his political entry.

Nishant Kumar is an engineer and has a spiritual bent of mind. He has never been active in politics before, but his recent presence at events like Holi celebrations at the CM residence has drawn attention. According to sources, 74-year-old Nitish Kumar is looking for a successor given his age and health, and efforts are being made to prepare Nishant in the JDU. This move is being considered strategic to strengthen the role of JDU in the NDA alliance. BJP leader Amit Shah and Bihar BJP President Samrat Chaudhary have recently described Nitish Kumar as the face of the election, but Nishant's increasing activism has sparked new discussions.

In the program, Nishant talked to the people on various issues, including topics like development, employment and social justice. A worker said, "Nishant ji is young and can take Nitish ji's legacy forward. Our demand is that he contest the elections." Political analysts believe that this move is in the direction of strengthening the Extremely Backward Class (EBC) vote bank, which is the main strength of JDU. With the elections approaching, the issue of succession in JDU is hot, and Nishant's entry can give new energy to the party.

Opposition parties are also keeping an eye on this development. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav recently targeted Nitish Kumar, but there has been no response to Nishant's dialogue yet. Investigation is on for more information.
