CLEANLINESS PROGRAMME AT MAHILA COLLEGE

ARA---------------------------The NCC unit at Mahant Mahadevanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ara, organized a cleanliness program as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada. The program was presided over by the college's Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Narendra Pratap Palit. He stated that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), an important initiative launched by the Prime Minister on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, October 2, 2014, to make India open defecation-free, was based on Gandhiji's ideas on cleanliness. This day sensitizes people about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and their role in keeping the environment clean. On this occasion, the Central Government runs special campaigns like "Swachhata Hi Seva," and various programs and activities related to cleanliness are organized across the country. NCC ANO Lt. Dr. Smita Kumari stated that to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on October 2, 2014, and appealed to all citizens of India to join the campaign for its successful implementation. The campaign aims to encourage people to take a few hours out of their daily routine to work towards sanitation in India. Kumari Shilpa, Head of the Department of Natural Sciences, stated that the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada is a campaign under the Swachh Bharat Mission of the Government of India, which focuses on raising awareness about cleanliness and health among various sections of society. All cadets enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive and made efforts to raise awareness. The college campus was cleaned during the program. Finally, all cadets and those present took the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (cleanliness pledge).
