SP Shubham Arya has sent a report to the Shahabad DIG for disciplinary action against the then Sadar SDPO Dheeraj Kumar. He has also informed the Secretary, Home Department, cum Second Appellate Authority.

An explanation has also been sought from Mo. Saifullah Ansari, the then District Magistrate of Navgachhiya. Sharadenddu Rai, a resident of Sonpa village in the Rajpur police station area, had filed a complaint with the Public Grievance Redressal Officer. In which he alleged that Mo. Saiful Ansari, the reader of the then SDPO, Dheeraj Kumar, had demanded three lakh rupees to prove his false accusation in a fake case in Rajpur Police Station Case No. 405/23. He had spoken to his lawyer regarding this matter. He and his lawyer met at the then SDPO's office. During the conversation, he was told to speak to the reader. After speaking with Mo. Saifun, he paid him one lakh sixty thousand rupees in two installments as per his demand.

Police filed a charge sheet: Six months later, in 2024, he learned in court that the police had filed a charge sheet and that the case had not been declared false. After this, he started demanding his money back. The reader said that he was unwell and was at AIIMS for treatment. After this, he stopped answering his phone. After much pressure, he returned thirty thousand rupees in two installments. When the money was not returned, the victim filed a complaint. Subsequently, an investigation was conducted. In which the victim stated that he had repeatedly spoken with Saifullah Ansari on December 1st and 2nd. He also withdrew the money from the bank on the same day he handed over the money.

Reader's response: The reader stated in the public complaint that he was transferred to the Brahmapur Zonal Office on December 12th, 2023. Sharadenddu Rai has a land dispute with his cousin, and an FIR has been filed in that matter. However, the reader remained unconvinced as to why he repeatedly spoke with the victim and his lawyer on December 1st and 2nd, 2023. The public complaint found the reader's role suspicious. Upon the public complaint's order, a proper investigation was conducted. Following this, SP Shubham Arya has sent a letter to the Shahabad DIG requesting disciplinary action against the then SDPO. He has also informed the Secretary, Home Department, cum Second Appellate Authority.
