A mobile, two passbooks, two checkbooks, a Paytm QR scanner and a register were recovered from him. The arrested is Rahul Kumar, son of Lakhandev Shah, resident of Bakshi Maidan Begumpur Patna City, Patna district.

Information about this was given by Superintendent of Police Raj in a press release on Saturday evening, he said that on July 20, 2024, Amarendra Kumar, a resident of Majhaunwa Maruti Nagar of Nagar police station area, had applied in the cyber police station, in which it was said that he received calls from two different numbers on his mobile and was asked to pay two rupees delivery charge by installing the app through WhatsApp.

But it was failing on making the payment. After this, a total of 99999 was withdrawn from his account in two times. A team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police cum Thana Incharge Cyber ​​Thana Sneh Setu for the investigation of the above case and arrest of the cyber criminals involved in the incident.

The team arrested the criminal involved in the incident from Vaishali district on the basis of scientific and technical analysis and research. The arrested accused Rahul Kumar Gupta told that to trap people in the trap of cyber fraud, they were called and lured and deceived, and APK files were installed in the mobile phone and access of the concerned phone was taken with them and information related to the victim's bank account, bank name, account number, ATM PIN and net banking password and other economic activities happening in the victim's phone were collected. After that, by withdrawing money from victim's account and luring other person with commission, their money was transferred to the bank account and cash was withdrawn and loan payment was made. Apart from DSP Sneh Setu, the raiding team included SI Pintu Kumar, SI Mohammad Ali, SI Mohammad Sheikh Rehan, constable Uttam Kumar, Shambhu Kumar, Praveen Kumar and driver constable Om Prakash Singh.
