ARA-------------------------Nawada police achieved a major success during a special vehicle checking campaign in view of the upcoming assembly elections. Police arrested two criminals with weapons, cartridges, and magazines before they could commit a crime. However, two criminals riding a bike managed to escape.

A country-made pistol, a magazine, and three rounds were recovered from the arrested criminals. A Scorpio, a bike, and three mobile phones were also seized. The arrested criminals include Prince Kumar, son of Kedar Singh, a resident of Milki Karwa village in the Udwantnagar police station area, and Vikrant Kumar, son of Shiv Mangal Singh, a resident of Bhagwatipur village in the same police station area.

It is reported that Nawada police station inspector Ankit Aryan was conducting a special vehicle checking campaign on Sunday evening in connection with the upcoming assembly elections when he received information that some people riding a black Scorpio and two bikes behind it were carrying weapons and were planning to commit a crime. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the Bahiro-Piania Road and began checking vehicles. Just then, a black Scorpio and two bikes were spotted approaching.

Upon seeing the police, two criminals behind the Scorpio turned their bikes and fled. However, police arrested one of the bike riders and two other criminals, including the Scorpio rider. Two criminals on the other bike escaped. During a search, police recovered a country-made pistol, a magazine, and three cartridges from Prince Kumar, the bike rider.

During interrogation, Prince Kumar revealed that Vikrant Kumar had a fight with some boys from Godhna Road during Durga Puja. At his instigation, he and his friends were going to threaten the boys with weapons.

Following this, based on a complaint filed by Inspector Ankit Aryan at the Nawada police station, a named FIR was registered under the Arms Act against Prince Kumar, a resident of Milki Caravan village in the Udwantnagar police station area, Vikrant Kumar, a resident of Bhagwatipur village, and Uday Kumar and Nitish Kumar, both residents of Dihari village in the same police station area, who were absconding. Police are continuously conducting raids to arrest two other absconding criminals.
