ARA-----------------------------The notorious criminal Pankaj Yadav, wanted in three cases including two murders, has been arrested by the police at Ara. He is the son of Santoshi Yadav of Bhaluhipur under the Ara town Police station.
He has a long criminal history. Apart from being a shooter, he is also a contract killer. Seven cases including murder, firing, Arms Act and liquor smuggling are registered against him in the Nagar police station alone. A murder case is also registered in Rajgir police station of Nalanda district.
He is said to be the shooter of a former Bhojpur and notorious history-sheeter Mithilesh Paswan who was killed in the Pravasya. The arrest of Pankaj Yadav has revealed some other incidents including the murder of auto driver Golu Yadav, resident of Bhaluhipur, and Manjeet Soni, resident of Dharhara in Arrah in Rajgir and shooting of property dealer Shahid Alam in Mirachak of Nagar police station area. This information was given by SP Raj in a press conference on Friday.
He told that Pankaj Yadav, a resident of Bhaluhipur Mohalla, is a notorious criminal. He was absconding in serious cases including the murder of Bhaluhipur resident Golu Yadav and a youth from Arrah in Rajgir. The team was continuously conducting raids for his arrest. A few days ago, through technical sources, raids were also conducted in Surat, Gujarat for his arrest. However, due to a small mistake, he escaped from Surat. Since then, the team was after him. In the same sequence, on Friday morning, he was arrested from the city itself by the team of Nagar police station under the leadership of SHO Devraj Rai and Additional SHO Arvind Kumar.
Golu Yadav was killed in a love affair, Pankaj Yadav had arranged for the weapon Pankaj Yadav, a resident of Bhaluhipur of Nagar police station area, who was caught by the police, was also a contract killer along with the shooter. He also managed the weapon and shooter for the murder. During police interrogation, Pankaj Yadav has revealed many secrets of the murder of Manjeet Soni in Rajgir and Golu Yadav in Ara. This information was given by SP Raj after interrogating him. According to the SP, Pankaj Yadav told that Golu Yadav and Vivek Yadav of the same locality loved the same boy. There was a dispute between the two over that. Golu Yadav was murdered by Vivek Yadav along with Pankaj Yadav and others over that. Pankaj Yadav had arranged weapons for that.
In the morning of 17 April this year, Golu Yadav, 16-year-old son of Vakil Yadav, who had gone to play cricket near Bhaluhipur Akhara, was shot dead. He was shot with six bullets. In that case, on the statement of Vakil Yadav, a named FIR was lodged against seven people including Vivek Yadav and Pankaj Yadav. Six accused including Vivek Yadav were already arrested and sent to jail by the police in that case. The weapon used in the murder was also recovered. However, Pankaj Yadav was absconding. According to SP Raj, during interrogation, Pankaj Yadav has accepted his involvement in the murder of Manjeet Soni, a resident of Ara in Rajgir and shooting of property dealer Shahid Alam in Mirachak of Ara Nagar police station area. According to the SP, Pankaj Yadav told during interrogation that Manjeet Soni, a resident of Dharhara, had acted as a liner in the murder of Mithilesh Paswan. In retaliation, Manjeet Soni, who had gone to Rajgir for a trip, was shot dead as part of a conspiracy. Pankaj Yadav was the main shooter in that murder case. Manjeet Soni was gunned down on 15 August near Vanganga in Rajgir. He was shot with five bullets from close range.
At the same time, property dealer Shahid Alam, a resident of Barki Singhi, was shot by a contract killer in Mirachak of Ara Nagar police station area on the morning of 24 October last year by Pankaj Yadav. According to the SP, during interrogation, Pankaj Yadav told that he had received a contract of Rs 4 lakh for this. In that case, the police had earlier arrested the person who had given the contract along with other accused and sent them to jail.
